TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses whether individuals with Type 1 Diabetes can obtain a soft power or medical DTV (Digital Visa for Treatment) for their diabetes-related appointments in Thailand. Responses from community members indicate that approvals are possible if proper documentation is provided, such as doctor’s reports and treatment plans. Each embassy may have different requirements regarding the duration of scheduled appointments and supporting documents.
I have a medical DTV based on regular neurology appointments. Every embassy have different requirements, but if you have a real condition under treatment you should qualify. That what its for,
How far ahead you need to show appointments and potential other documentation might vary based on embassy. But you should be fine . I applied via Jakarta and was very straight forward. But that's over a year ago.
Medical treatment also makes bank account easier, (but still tricky)
I have a soft power medical DTV for physical therapy. I submitted a doctor’s report and treatment plan from a big private hospital in Chiang Mai. I had 5 weeks of appointments scheduled. I submitted proof of that, along with receipts showing I prepaid for the treatment. My DTV was approved in Cambodia in May. Some people say you should schedule more long term appointments (3+ months) but it probably depends on the embassy.
