TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking advice on applying for a Soft Power DTV medical visa after undergoing eye surgery for retina detachment in Thailand, citing sufficient funds but no employment. Community members suggest that with proper documentation from the hospital, including a diagnosis and treatment plan, the individual has a strong case for the DTV visa, especially considering the need for follow-up treatment.

Yes, get your doctor to write up a diagnosis, treatment plan, prognosis, letter with appointments, preferably on hospital letterhead and addressed to the embassy requesting the DTV visa for long term care.

I would think you have a very strong case for a DTV. Get all docs from the hospital and Sr sign off. Good luck
