Can the 500K Baht requirement for a Thai visa be met using multiple bank accounts, and what are the implications of a rejected application?

Hi all,

Regarding the 500K Baht, can it be from multiple bank accounts / institutions ? I don't leave all my cash in 1 account. I can show the consulate bank statements.

Any freelance photographer in this group? Do we show our work portfolio, publication...etc?

If my application get rejected, when can I re-apply and does it affect anything,

Thanks for your help! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry discusses whether the 500,000 Baht requirement for a Thai visa can be fulfilled using multiple bank accounts and if it's necessary to show the cash in just one account. Additionally, it addresses concerns about portfolio submissions for freelance photographers, the re-application process in case of a rejection, and the implications of such a rejection on future applications. Commenters provided insights confirming that only one account needs to show the required amount and asked about remote work possibilities for photographers.

You don't need to show all your cash, just show the account where is 500K

Anonymous participant OK the retouching i can understand but you won't be able to take pictures locally on a DTV, no matter where the publications are from

Anonieme deelnemer taking pictures locally for international publications might not be a smart idea, because that means you are actually working in Thailand, which is strictly prohibited for DTV

thanks a lot, I thought it was ok since its not Thai publications. Alright, i'll focus on the retouching part and not taking photo part if asked then 🙂
