Hello everyone. I have two questions. Hoping I can get help.

1. Has anyone here (non Filipino) applied and received a Thai Tourist (60 day) Visa at the Thai Embassy in Manila?

2. The Thai Visa Application Form asks for the Name and Address of the Local Guarantor, is this necessary for the Tourist Visa?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A non-Filipino can apply for a Thai Tourist Visa (SETV) at the Thai Embassy in Manila. A local guarantor is not required for the Tourist Visa application, only a hotel booking and flight itinerary are sufficient.

Yes and No. A guarantor is not needed for a SETV.

Just a hotel booking and flights.

my plans is after my volunteer works in myanmar. i will crossed a border to thailand after 50 days I arrived in myanmar. do you think they will allow me to enter thailand? im a filipino passport holder.

@Inoue *****
get a tourist visa from the thai consulate in your country before you come here. That would get you stamped in for 60 days when you arrive and you could extend that by 30 days at the immigration office for 1900baht

Not user unfriendly... they tend to follow the rules.

Thanks! So, it would seem we think of Manila as one of the more user friendly options.

I didn't need one (just having credit cards was sufficient) but if you are a resident in the Philippines or Thailand it might not hurt to have one.

Bank statement not needed?

In today, out tomorrow unless there is something in your passport that will raise their eyebrows.

Okay, flights are not an issue because it’s very easy to put the dates together. Accommodations are a bit more difficult be I’m sure I can put that together too. But more importantly is getting the Visa in Mania. I’ve read that getting a Thai Visa in Kuala Lumpur is straightforward, should I assume in Manila is the same?
