I am asking on behalf of my helper from Myanmar as she has just obtained a tourist visa. Her purpose is to take a 5 days course in Thailand. After taking the course, she intends to seek employment there.
Can i know if that is allowed as I will need to ensure that she has obtained proper entry visa to Thailand. She is currently in Singapore and intends to travel from here to Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is inquiring if their helper from Myanmar, who recently obtained a tourist visa, can legally take a 5-day course in Thailand and then seek employment. Community responses highlight that while entering Thailand with a tourist visa for a short course is allowed, pursuing employment without a proper work permit is illegal. It is advised to explore proper visas for work and be cautious about immigration regulations.
If she’s gonna work as a blue collar worker, she has to wait until the Thai Government opens for new batch again and I don’t think they even announced the official opening date yet. She cannot *Legally* work without the work permit.
For the visa, she can extend 5 times, some said 6. (1 month extension every time she extends)
Depends on what her and your purposes are. She can come here first time for tourist visa or if she want to get a job, she need visa for working or you can find the agent who do MOU for working and ask them information. It might be easier for you. Please be careful if the Immigration caught. You might have to spend big money for working without work permit.
