Hi everyone,

I'm from Philippines and am planning to be in Thailand as a domestic helper because I had hired my employer start 20th January 2025 and i would like to ask, if it's possible to do work as legal process?

Please come with other ideas, that could give us a better journey for my first visiting in Thailand. Anyone that can assist me can DM for more informations about Thailand.

Thank you much for your advise.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user from the Philippines is planning to work as a domestic helper in Thailand starting January 20, 2025. They are seeking advice on the legal process for working in Thailand, particularly about obtaining a work permit and finding suitable agencies. Comments indicate that legal work is not possible without a work permit, and recommend contacting the employer or using local agencies, as well as consulting groups that support Filipinos in Thailand.

Your employer needs to sort it out. There are agencies you can go though for domestic employees. But i am not sure how that works. There is a facebook group for Phillipinos in Thailand and probably better searching for that as more likely you will find someone who knows what to do.

You are unable to legally work in Thailand without a work permit
