Hi everyone, currently I am on a Covid visa which will be reconsidered on the 10th March for a last extension.

If by that time and I even manage to get an extension to stay, I get a job offer, can the employer change the status of my visa or not. I am due to meet my prospective employers next week and I want to have an idea if anything can be done .

Thanking you in advance for your advice and support.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of changing their Covid visa status to an employment visa in Thailand if they receive a job offer before their visa extension is due for reconsideration. A comment mentions that the type of entry stamp issued at the time of entry into Thailand could impact the situation.

The real question is what ENTRY STAMP did you enter thailand on and when before you went on a covid extension

I got in on a Non-O visa but due to a matter of unfortunate circumstances, I ended on this Covid visa. I have pleaded to the immigration office here in Satun to grant me the 1yr visa ( I am married to Thai ) but unfortunately they would not budge. I came in, in July 2020 on a rapatriation flight

I would almost bet that you won't be able to get a Non-B visa issued after entering on a Non-O, even though that ran out and you went on a covid extension BUT that's gonna totally depend on your immigration office and the ability of your employer to meet the in country requirements to get a 90 day Non-B visa issued.

You're gonna hafta talk to them and the immigration office to really know or not. '

And in the best of best cases, i.e., your Non-B process could be proceeded, you need to close under consideration stamp first - means you have to wait that date, go to immigration office get real stamp of Covid extension, then you will be ready to go on the procedure for new visa.
