I am on SETV and it's expiring next week. I am from India and I cannot extend it for 30 days.
I wanted to ask whether the company can talk to Immigration to extend my Visa for 30 days so that they can apply to change it to Non B. Is it possible?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user on a 60-day SETV (Single Entry Tourist Visa) is seeking advice on whether their employer can negotiate with Immigration to extend their visa for 30 days, allowing for a transition to a Non B visa. There's a note that typically, Indians may receive only a 7-day extension on this type of visa, and looking for clarity on the limits of extensions and necessary considerations before switching visa types.
Indians get only 7 days DENIAL OF EXTENSION stamp on a 60 days SETV.How many days u got on your current visa ? If you have less than 15 days then you have to go back home as the "consideration period" for Non B is 14 days.
That is only possible with BOI and it is called CONSIDERATION STAMP of 30 days , but your papers ahould be in immigeation for that. Check with your company if they are BOI , there is a slight chance of that happening.
