Hello, has anyone used an agent to get a police clearance certificate instead of going to Bangkok as I live in Southern Thailand and would prefer not making a trip if possible. π€ If so, was the process quick and easy π€ thanks π

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of using an agent for obtaining a police clearance certificate without traveling to Bangkok, expressing a preference for a quicker, hassle-free process. Comments reveal that while agents may be an option, certain requirements such as fingerprinting at a local police station are necessary. Users note the necessity of a request letter and mention that acquiring the certificate at a Clearance Center in Bangkok is a viable, albeit slower method, typically taking about three weeks.
I think it depends on what document/evidence you show at the clearance center that requires you to get a police clearance. For example: if you have a document that shows you are getting an interview at another embassy, they will use the interview date as the date they need to process and complete your clearance paperwork. Note - be sure to request the completed clearance about 5 days in advance if they mail it to you somewhere in Thailand. Or request to come back and pick it up...that's what we did. It's one sheet of paper, specific to the country/etc that requires you to get a clearance. I suggest to get their mobile number so you can call to check status about 7 to 10 days before you need it. (this is what we did 2 weeks ago in Feb)
yea, thatβs why I said - βI think it depends on what document/evidence you show at the clearance center that requires you to get a police clearance.β
A police clearance from Thailand can only be done in Bangkok at the RTP Clearance Service Center. You cannot get this anywhere else...if you are living in Thailand. Parking is available about an 8 minute walk from Siam Paragon parking garage.
You have to have fingerprints, has to be in police station however the capital in your provincè should have station to do this. You need a request letter for the police 100b charge
