I'm In Thailand, I need an Australian police check for charity work. I note there's a mechanism to obtain one through the Royal Thai Police in Bangkok for Australians. Has anyone in the group used this method? if so, how long did it take? cost? was it acceptable to the organisation requiring it? I enquired with my charity but they haven't replied to date.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the process of obtaining an Australian police check in Thailand through the Royal Thai Police for charity work. It seeks information about the timeframe, cost, and acceptance of this method by requesting organizations. Comments suggest that an online Australian police check is possible, with results typically available in three days. However, one commenter notes the potential requirement for an Australian address for mailing, raising questions about the reliability of the Royal Thai Police method.
If it was like this , I had to have an Australian address for it to be sent to, they would not mail it to my address in Thailand. Maybe it’s changed for state & federal checks.
