Anyone know if you can use USD in a Wise account as proof of funds for dtv? Park 20,000 usd in wise and leave it there for 3 months for example. It is a savings but I don’t want to be surprised.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation focuses on whether funds held in a Wise account, specifically USD, can be used as proof of funds for a Thai visa application. Users discuss the acceptance of Wise accounts by consulates, the necessity of having funds in a traditional bank account, and the general requirements for proof of funds. It's noted that Wise is not a bank and thus may not be recognized by all consulates.

Has to be in a regular bank account in the applicants name, for at least 3 months.

Not sure what the benefit of putting it in wise would be. Isn’t the requirement to just show it in a bank account? Genuine question not being smart ass

Wise is not a bank so may not be accepted by all consulates. If you say what consulate you will use you stand a better chance of getting a helpful answer
