TLDR : Answer Summary
A 68-year-old Australian is inquiring if they can use their superannuation statement as proof of funds for a 90-day Non-O visa based on retirement. Responses indicate that while using superannuation statements has been accepted in the past, the current guidelines recommend using a bank statement showing the 800,000 Baht directly available in an Australian bank account. Some comments suggest that if applying from Australia, the full fund may not be necessary.

Did the 90 day non o via Thai consulate in Sydney very recently. You must submit proof of the funds held in your Australian account. Its clearly stated in the e-visa process. I used a bank statement, which is what they asked for in the guidelines. Don't know if a super statement is acceptable.

If you’re in Australia and apply their the 800k isn’t necessary.

How could it be even possible without having a Thai bank account?

800K+ THB equivalent in some Australian bank (last 3 months statements. pdf from the bank site, concatenated in a single file) is just to get the 90 days non O visa to enter Thailand on it. Then the dance starts.

are you sure about this advice???? I was sure you had to show proof of 800k to apply for this visa type in Australia. I'll be making an application next month.

if it’s 3 months you can stay 2 months and extend another month.

apologies Ando. Not required for a standard 90-day Tourist or Non-Immigrant visa but yes for retirement visa .

you have no idea what you’re taking about. No such thing as a standard 90 day tourist visa stop making up false information

I did about five years ago no problem. Keep in mind you'll still need to transfer 800k to your Thai bank account
