Hi everyone ๐Ÿ™‚ I am planning to apply for a one year extension of stay in January 2021 when my permission to stay expires on my O A visa. Is it permitted to transfer the 800,000baht from overseas to my Thai bank account now? or do I need to wait until about two months before my application? I was just thinking about taking advantage of the good rate at the moment against the Aussie dollar. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user wants to transfer 800,000 baht to their Thai bank account in preparation for a one-year extension of stay on their O A visa. Community responses indicate that the funds should be in the account at least two months before the application date, but there are differing opinions on whether it must be transferred now or can be done later. It is also noted that the funds do not necessarily need to originate from overseas and can be cash deposited.

Transfer it when you want .

The 800K does not have to be international funds, it can simply be a cash deposit!

The money must be in your Thai bank account, at least 2 months prior application date.

That is there much longer is no problem.
