I am an American in Thailand on an Elite Visa. I just got married to an Egyptian woman. Can I sponsor her on my Elite Visa? 

The research that I've been able to do online indicates that she would not be able to apply on her own because Egypt is on the restricted list.

 Would it be different if I as an American would be sponsoring her to join me in Thailand?

I think citizens of certain countries are not eligible which may include Egypt. Since you have Elite visa you must have contact info or be able to find it online?

You can't sponsor someone if you are on elite. Elite does offer the visa for a family, you might be able to upgrade, ask elite staff.
