Leaving for a few months (or more?) so probably going to sell my scooter. Anyone know if dealers do these purchases same day or does it take longer?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you plan to sell your scooter in Thailand, you'll need a residence certificate, and once that is obtained, the sale can typically be completed in about 15 minutes at a dealer.

I'm going to get offers from dealers.
I don't have much time, I leave next Thursday. I don't think I've got time to figure out the steps for a private sale.
I just noticed in Maps that Buakhao changes to Pattaya Thai as it meets S. Pattaya Rd.
Gotcha. 👍

@Bob - Pattaya Thai must have a different name, it doesn't show up on Google Maps anywhere. I use that to get to any new business (it's suicide to search while riding). Or if you can name any business that it's next to.. Otherwise, thx anyway, I'll try Mike Motorbike.
it’s at the end of soi bukhoaw at Pattaya south rd on the corner both sides you can’t miss it

Bob D'Andrea I know Soi Buakhao but a google maps search doesn't turn up anything for 'Minton'. Do you mean Mityon? There's one on Third Rd and one on S Pattaya Rd (close to Buakhao)..
the one at the end of bukhoaw on Pattaya Thai I sold and traded a few bikes there I find he gives the best offers but you’ll probably have to wait until the immigration opens because I’m 99% sure you’ll need a residence certificate unless the bike is in a Thai name good luck

Gordon Kilpatrick Did you sell to a dealer in Pattaya? If so, which?
