Quick question for the teachers or anyone else who has been through this can you request for a one year extension when you have 45 days left on your previous extension due to the fact that you will be exiting the country and you will need enough time on your visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
It's possible to request a one-year visa extension when you have 45 days left on your current extension, but approval may vary depending on the Immigration Office location in Thailand. It's advisable to take all necessary documentation and proof of travel outside the country before making the request.

That totally depends on where you are in Thailand and which of the over 70 Immigration Offices you are using.

Take all documentation and your tickets that you are out of country for longer period and ask if you can apply early.

You want to go early but if they refuse you want an re-entry permit to be back before the last day of your current Extension of Stay, so there is no need to go early.
