Need to renew my Thai driver's license. I did the license with my Aussie passport, but I use my UK passport for this stay. Can I renew my Thai driver's license with a passport of different nationality?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks if they can renew their Thai driver's license using their UK passport instead of their original Australian passport. The conversation discusses various related issues, including whether license renewals are currently being processed, the impact of visa type on license eligibility, and the specific requirements for renewing an expired license.

Actually you cannot extend now as the authority is closed. There is a 3 month exception right now.

If you already have the driver's license and it expires. Do you have to physically do the driving test and pc test again or is there a service to just pay? To renew?

Not sure about the passport change issue, but I think you’ll find they aren’t doing renewals at the moment. A friend who tried recently was told to come back in February. Phuket office that is.

That's what I thought, but I am currently on my 2nd two years temp license. I have no idea why and I didn't think of asking about it until I finished my renewal last time....

Andrew Arulraj. First licence is always two years. When you renew it goes to five
