Can’t find anything anywhere… and I know I need to pay tax.

For those who say, people living in Thailand do not have to pay tax:

Be careful. If you do not comply with Thai tax laws, it could affect your visa status.

Did you check your double tax treaty and sourcing rules for your country? Because in some countries in the West, even if you establish tax residency in a foreign country, some types of income like capital gains or earned income could still be sourced in your home country if they're not taxable in the foreign country, for example if you did not remit the income into Thailand, assuming that income is not taxable Thailand, if you're home country has such a rule, that income could still be considered sourced in your home country despite having tax residency in Thailand.

It aint that hard, takes all of 20 mins to file online yourself once you have a TIN. Worst case just go down to the revenue office and they will likely do it for you if they don't send you home after seeing your DTV stamp.

Paying thai tax is nothing to do with the visa you hold. If you are a Thai tax resident and bring assessable income into Thailand during the year then you need to file a Thai tax return, although whether you will have tax to pay depends on your personal situation

Why are you so keen on paying taxes?

People usually try finding ways to not pay any tax 😅

Your own country would want you to pay taxes. If you pay taxes in Thailand you avoid paying taxes in your country

You know... Al Capone was arrested for tax evasion right? It's better to pay. This attitude is why everything is hard for expats... so many people with criminal mentality.

some people prefer paying taxes in thailand and by doing so establishing their tax residency in thailand and so not pay taxes in their country of origin. Thailand taxes are far inferior than most European countries for example 😉 and Thai is only taxing remitted or local incomes not international incomes.

Lets say I make 20M a year aboard and remit 3M in thailand I rather pay 35% on the 3M than 65% on the 20M in some European countries that will spend my taxes like s**t

DTV or not is not relevant for tax residency.

Who in the government told you you need to pay tax? Do you have a job inside Thailand for a Thai company? Did you remit hundreds of thousands of baht into a thai bank account?

Many countries require overseas filing proofs to stop home country taxation or filing. Theres many ways it is an advantage to file and or pay here.

Skill issue.. You can get a TTN day 1 on any visa class if you handle it properly.

Tell them you have domestic passive income to report. Day 1 taxable.
