Did anyone can open bank account with non-o spouse visa recently? (Married to a Thai )
On beginning of July i went to Bkk bank and Kasikorn bank branch in Phuket in order to open bank account for my husband. But the bank staff insisted they only accept non-o retirement visa or work permit. It’s really hassle now 😥
Thank you for every advice 🙏🏻
TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to open a bank account in Thailand using a Non-O spouse visa seems to vary significantly between different banks and branches. Users report mixed experiences; some have successfully opened accounts with the Non-O visa if they are married to a Thai citizen, while others faced obstacles, particularly at Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn Bank branches. Important documentation typically includes a passport, marriage certificate, and residence certificate. It’s advised to try multiple branches and potentially have a Thai spouse accompany you when applying.
