If I have previously had a 12 month education visa can I get another one? Thank you
Answer summary
You may be able to obtain another education visa after previously holding one for 12 months, but it largely depends on the specific school and the type of education you are pursuing. Generally, informal education programs, such as language or Muay Thai, might allow for a second year, while academic courses at reputable universities could also facilitate this process. However, if you're trying to apply for the same type of course again, you may need to wait five years unless you have a new passport that doesn't have the previous visa stamp. It's best to check directly with your school for guidance, as the Ministry of Education has rules against granting endless education visas.

If it's a different course yes, if it's the same you already did then you have to wait 5 years to apply again. Unless your passport is about to expire and you get a new one, then you can do the same course again because your new passport won't have the ed visa stamp
If you were attending a reputable Thai university and working toward an actual academic degree, the answer is definitely "yes" and your UNIVERSITY will HELP you with the paperwork. In all other cases you are taking your chances. So I would suggest hooking up with a good Thai university FAST, and many of them now offer English-language degree programs, both undergraduate and graduate, that are respected internationally.
If it's for "informal" education, meaning not university and things like Thai language or Muay Thai, you can probably get a 2nd year. You should ask your school and see what they say. After that though you'll probably not be able to get another one. The ministry of education will not approve endless education visas for someone.
Probably not doing it legit. There's a reason having an ED visa in your passport means you'll have trouble entering Thailand for years. It's the most abused visa of any type.
