Good afternoon,

I’m currently on an education visa, learning Thai language. I’m nearly 5 months in. I’ve done TWO lessons, second one today, after a 4 month gap due to closures.

Really unhappy with the school, for lots of reasons.

I’m prepared to write off the money I paid, if I can find a better place to learn. Is it possible to get a new visa domestically if I find a better school? Start again?

Thank you for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently unhappy with their education visa school and is considering changing to a better one. They inquire if it's possible to apply for a new education visa domestically after finding a different school, despite already starting their education visa.

As the borders are closed a while now, you can not be on a valid Non Immigrant ED visa inside Thailand,

You got 90 days of stay and what did you do before these period ended?

You can not apply for a new Non Immigrant ED visa inside the country,

@Rob***
, thank you. I extended my first 90 days, got another 90. That ends at the end of August. The school is currently preparing the paperwork for my next application.

So, it seems from your answer, that I’m stuck with the school (they’re really inefficient), at least until borders re-open.
