Basically yes. But I remember some report said one office refused because extension had been issued by different province office.

I believe you can get it at major city office...

I don't think they sell re-entry permits at land border crossings, You need to get it BEFORE you go to the border..

You can get a re-entry permit at your local immigration office; I don't think they sell them at the borders (usually).

Pedang Besar is located inside Malaysia, and I know they won't sell them there.
