Has anyone done a same day boat journey to malaysia and been able to stamp out and had no issues stamping back in for the 6 months when returning? And is leaving the country and reentering via boat the same as doing via plane?
Answer summary
Travelers can exit Thailand to Malaysia and return without issues provided they pass through immigration and receive the necessary stamps. However, same-day travel may be challenging due to limited ferry schedules, with only one trip per day in each direction.

The main issue is that ferry operators have scaled back to only one trip per day in each direction, and the timings do not overlap in a way that allows a same-day return.
The rules are the same, no different stamps or procedures depening on leave or enter by boot, plane, bus, walk as LONG as you pass the Immigration check booth and get the needed stamps.
