Hi.

Maybe a dumb question, but is it possible to hold a DTV Visa (Thailand) and a Malaysia (nomad/MM2 visa) as can’t face returning to UK for 6months of the year due to 180day limitation on DTV

If not , what are most people doing to circumvent this process ?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of holding a DTV Visa in Thailand while also obtaining a Malaysia nomad/MM2 visa, primarily to avoid returning to the UK due to the 180-day limitation associated with the DTV Visa. A comment suggests that the concern may relate to avoiding Thai tax residency rather than a strict limitation on the DTV Visa itself.

Are you trying to avoid becoming a Thai tax resident? That's the only reason to avoid being in Thailand for more than 180 days. There is no 180 day limitation on the DTV
