Unless I'm wrong they will also require proof that you transferred the money in to the country from abroad too, you must show that to get the in country 90 day Non-O visa issued. The money can't have come from inside thailand.. :/ It's on their hand out.

@Brian ******
, okay, the answer is YES you can indeed go from a 30 day visa exempt entry to a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai at the Jomtien Immigration office.

You need at LEAST 15 days left on your current entry stamp (or an extension from it) So if you don't have that time left on your stamp you can't do the conversion :/

GO to the immigration office, get the check list from them that lists the documentation you and your thai wife need to provide so you can apply for a 90 day in country Non-O visa based on marriage. It cost 2000baht, you apply, it goes under consideration for 14 days and then you go back to get the Non-O visa and a new 90 day stamp inked into your passport.

I guess he is too late, because as
@John *********
already mentioned, he needs at least 15 days left on his current stamp in order to be allowed a conversion to a Non-Imm-O visa based on marriage to a Thai

Jomtien does convert visa exempt entries and tourist visas to Non O then Extension of Stays for retirement. Therefore I would assume they will do a NonO for Married to Thai.

But only way to really know is ASK Jomtien.

@Brian ******
understood.

And in October you were on visa exempt entries with border runs to extend.

Are you actually married to a Thai?

Just trying to understand your various questions.

Getting a NonO Marriage to a Thai is so easy to obtain at Savannakhet or HCMC Vietnam without proof of funds deposited.

Hi James, Live in Naklua but building a house Khon Buri, korat. I am married but was told could get a 90 day marriage in Jomtien, Wanted to check before I go to Loas or Viet

Your probably out of time to get it on your current stamp. You need at least 15 days and this is holiday period

@Brian ******
Do you have or can meet the financial requirements of 400,000 Thai baht deposited in a Thai bank? I assume you can

If so I suggest you visit Thai Imm Jomtien and pick up their list of requirements for the visa you are wanting.

That way you will know for sure if they can do it inside Thailand without having to first get the NonO from Thai Consulate outside of Thailand.

Is Jomtien the Imm Office where you are now on record as your Thai residence?
James ********
Pardon me
@Brian ******
but I am confused.

On November 16th you were asking about getting a NonO in Korat....Now you are asking about getting it in Jomtien.

Where do you live in Thailand? That is the only place you can apply ...in your home Thai Immigration office.
