Can I enter Thailand on a new passport with a DTV and use E-gates on a future visit?

Entering on a new passport.
Came in at BKK last night. Brand new passport, issued last week.
Presented the IO with that and a DTV print out.
I had done my TDAC via the THIM app, where I had entered my DTV number, so I guess it showed up on her monitor.
Hence, no questions asked about my previous passport (I did have it with me just in case). Nor anything about cash on hand.
Quick stamp, welcome sir. I asked her if I would be able to use the E-gates next time once they're open for the added nationalities. She said maybe, but still not decided whether E.visa holders would be able to use them.

I used the new gates at Phuket for departing but I’m told DTV most probably will still need to go through immigration on arrival
