The Thai Laos border of Chiang Khong is open also in the  late evening right ?

Normally the bridges will stop at 21:30. You can’t just rock up at 22:00.

LATE in the evening? no..

It closes officially at 10PM but the shuttle bus across the bridge stops before 9PM usually

The posted hours are 6am to 10pm.
