Hi all, did you manage to complete the online DTV application using only a mobile phone, or a laptop is required? I am planning to fly to Vietnam for my DTV, I was wondering if I should carry my laptop with me. 

My plan is to upload all the documents before landing in Vietnam, then finalize the submission once landed there, if that makes sense.

I did the process on my phone. But after loading all the documents, the verification of upload for larger files didn't work. When I checked on my friend's laptop, it was all correct and uploaded. So I proceeded with payment and was approved.

It would be a real shame to get to Vietnam and find out you need your laptop to do something. It is not worth the risk of getting caught out just to avoid carrying your laptop.

I uploaded a combined pdf with my entry stamp, flight tickets and hotel bookings. I don't think I would have been able to prepare that on the phone. If you end up needing to upload additional documents, it also might be a hassle if you don't have a computer.

I would avoid stress and carry your computer. You never know if they gonna ask you extra documents and it might be annoying to get them from your phone.

I did mine on the computer. I don't think the visa website is perfectly optimized for mobile, but especially the payment function, I don't think it can be processed from a mobile.
