The return date on a re entry visa. Can this be changed after you have put a specific date down and signed the form.

What happens if your plans change. Thx

TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot change the specific return date on your re-entry visa after you have signed the form; you must put an imagined travel date since leaving it blank is not allowed. The re-entry permit is valid until your extension of stay expires, allowing you to return any time before that validity date. If your plans change, you must return according to your new plan, but do so before the last 'Admitted to Stay' date in your passport to avoid losing your extension and re-entry permit.

Thanks Tod. So the extension of stay is not your 90 day report. But until your visa is valid until?

@And***
, for 1900baht nope, it wasn't a new visa, :/ it was a yearly extension of stay..

Be that as it may.

After she applied for and got the yearly extension of stay for 1900baht from the immigration office IF she bought a re-entry permit too (either 1000baht for a single or 3800baht for a multiple), it would be good until 2018 as well.

@And***
, seeing as you can NEVER EVER renew any visa I still don't know what she did.

Did she go to the immigration office and get a yearly extension for 1900baht back in August?

OR

Did she BUY another visa from a thai consulate outside of thailand?

Nor do I really.

It's for my wife.

She renewed her guardian visa in August 2017. Which is valid till August 2018.

So she can enter before August 2018 with no issues. Correct?

Sorry, I don't understand the question :/

When you fill out that TM.8 form you just put in some imagined travel date, because you can't leave them blank. The re-entry permit is valid until your extension of stay is, so you can go when ever you want.

If you change plan you return on the day of the new plan. As long as you come back before the last Admitted to Stay date stamped in your passport, that date will be used again. If you come later than that date, your Extension of Stay and re-entry are lost.
