hello, has anyone ever flown out of thailand with a large painting in a tube? just wondering if allowed as luggage by thai authorities in case they stop due to restrictions as I heard paintings need an export licence, my painting has no thai or buddhist themes but am trying to avoid the time and hassle for an export licenece to be authorised.. thanks

Stick it in big suitcase sorted

You will have no problems at all, those paintings get taken out all the time

I did fly out with a big wooden carved elephant once. Had to dump all our clothes just to get it through check in.

I've flown out with a large poster in a tube. Had it in my backpack sticking way up out of the top at least 18 inches. No one ever asked anything though they did give me a weird look at security screening
