Question on visa validity. I'm planning to get a car license. I was never given the option to get one when I got a license for the bike so I gotta do all that crap again (figures). To get it they require a non o visa which I have ...but technically it has expired . I did the border run the day before expiry date to get the extra 90 days. So would they accept this kind of visa when applying for a license ? They require copies of it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the acceptability of their expired NON-O visa for applying for a Thai driving license after completing a border run for an extension. Community responses indicate that one can apply for a driving license with various types of visas, including Visa Exempt Entry, and that specific documentation is required regardless of visa status.

You can apply for Thai driving license on Visa Exempt Entry and any other kind of visa. Depending on Ministry of Transport you need: Copy ID page, copy visa page if you have one, copy Admitted to Stay stamp, copy TM6 departure card, Certification of Address and a medical statement.

Yes, you get this Certificate of Address at the Immigration office, if you live in Bangkok you must have done at least one 90 day report, otherwise you can get it from your Embassy.
