I am holding METV until 23 Nov. 

Got a few questions: 

1/ Can I apply DTV before 23 NOV? How can I cancel the METV? 

2/ I got pulled aside and got asked a lot of questions when I passed through the customs in Chiang Mai yesterday. 

For METV, I need to exit Thailand every two months and come back again. Would there be any problems coming back next time? 

Or would I be safe as long as I have the METV? 

(History: This year I used one visa exemption, single TR and now METV)

Anonymous participant just this year alone you've over used tourist entries, and who knows what your history from last year is like (a new year means nothing). But your stuck with the METV until it expires so for the next entry I'd suggest you use a safe entry service rather than risking it yourself

You have to cancel before you can apply for DTV. The embassy that issued you the METV is the only one that can cancel. It is usually hard to do
