I have another question regarding applying for the DTV through the London embassy while I'm in the UK for the next month.
I'm a British citizen and UK passport holder. I co-own a UK limited company, have UK and EUR bank accounts, and have been holding the required 500,000 THB equivalent funds in a UK bank account. I also have a UK correspondence address, which appears on my bank statements and Companies House records.
My company has another UK-based director, and I have prepared all of the required DTV documentation, including proof of funds, company documents, remuneration records and an employment certificate.
The complication is that although I am a British citizen, my country of residence is Portugal. This is reflected on my Companies House records, where my residential country is listed as Portugal in the Persons with Significant Control section.
Given these circumstances, would an application through the London embassy be acceptable, or is it likely to be rejected because my country of residence is not the UK?
If London is not the correct jurisdiction, would I need to apply through Lisbon instead, and if so, would they likely question the proof of funds showing a UK address?
Alternatively, could I apply from another country, such as Vietnam, while travelling?
Everything else in my application is ready to submit, so I'm mainly trying to understand whether my Portuguese residency creates a jurisdiction issue for a London application.
Many thanks for any guidance you can provide.
