TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether enrolling in a massage school counts as a soft power route for obtaining a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand. Several commenters clarify that there is no need for a DTV to learn massage techniques, as courses can be taken on any legal stay. However, for courses to qualify for visa support, they must be recognized by the Ministry of Education. There are also comparisons drawn to cooking schools, suggesting that massage schools may adopt similar profit models.

When you look at the program of the most famous massage training, there is by far not a training with a length that needs DTV, so you can save some money and do the training without cost of DTV.

simple answer is: There is NO need to get the DTV to learn how to give a massage.

You can enroll in any course using any type of legal stay in Thailand.

No need at all.

But a Thai cooking school had the idea they could make more profit with long term students.

Lots of tourists visit the schools for a 1 days cource, NOW the offer courses for multiple months

This means that when a massage school thinks they can make money like the cooking schools it might be possible, but just as the cooking school it will be tricky

a School send in their course schedule, requriements etc to the Ministry of Education.

This Ministry makes the decision if that course is legit for support documents for the Non Immigrant ED visa and/or DTV.

NOT foreigners or schools or agencies.

That would mean all embassies should accept the same schools, and it seems there are differences. How do you explain that?

Difference is the application needs the correct documents.

I read sometimes the DN had an appointment at a school and use that to apply,
