TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler from Kazakhstan in Savanakhet is asking about the possibility of extending their stay in Thailand by simply crossing the border. They need an additional 15 days but were told by immigration authorities to apply at the Thai consulate. This raises questions about the validity of gaining extra time through border crossing and immigration procedures.
