People have succeeded, but it always going to be given scrutiny. So things like prior years tax returns showing successful trade income over time are the kind of things that push it over the edge.

Also what successful trader doesnt have 500k in a bank ??

I did it myself but In person just before it went to E-visa. There are 1000s of posts which give tips on a successful application. Stock traders/investors do get approved for the DTV and their posts should be in the threads.
