Can a person apply for the DTV by signing up for a Muay Thai or cooking course , 

AND ALSO get his spouse over for 10k THB ? 

- will it work for this DTV option ? 

Does the spouse need proof of financial stability with personal bank account showing 500k THB , or can he/she be using the same joint account with their spouse ?

A spouse can get a DTV if the other spouse has a DTV already. They will still have to apply and pay for their own DTV and upload the DTV of the other spouse as proof.

Each embassy decides who needs to show financial support. Some embassies will require 500k each while some might not.
