TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can write a confirmation letter to themselves stating their ability to work remotely in Thailand as a co-owner of an LLC. The conversation discusses the need for valid documentation, such as an employment reference letter from clients or accountants. The dialogue highlights different approaches individuals have taken, including creating a letter on company letterhead and ensuring they can prove their income as legitimate, rather than merely forming an LLC without real financial backing. There are also inquiries about using a business bank account for financial proof and collaboration with co-owners for a more formal letter.
I created a company letter head… told them about my clients and my income to date and expected income for 2026. Then a simple caveat that I can work remotely and Thailand will only benefit from me being there as I will be spending money supporting the economy.
You might get away with writing your own but they are getting tighter on non earning 'workers'.. Just show them you make a real income online.
You have a tax return on income made ?
You have filed accounts for your LLC ?
Your LLC must have clients ? So get a letter from them ? Or show payments from platforms.
Basically show you have a real income earning business.. Not just formed a 100 USD LLC and applied. The check they are making is being a self supporting remote worker, its not just being the owner of a corp formation anyone can buy for pennies, that doesnt actually support your lifestyle.
I already added contracts and business bank statements to the document before. Anyway I submitted a letter myself saying I can work remote so let’s see…
To add, I wrote my own letter on my own headed paper and it was fine.
But I also have years of filed corp accounts, employee personal tax returns (you have to be an employee and draw a min wage salary as Dir in the location my corp is based), payslips, turnover in the company, etc.
People legally really earning online as a remote worker should have some of the above.
