Hey my Visa runs out on the 28th (Saturday) so a visa in Laos would end up with me spending 6 days there. I was thinking to do border cross at Mae Sai for visa exempt instead (Have one already this year). Any issues with doing 2 back to back and any issues with doing it on a weekend. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on doing a visa run to Laos after their visa expires, specifically considering a border crossing at Mae Sai for a visa exempt entry. They are concerned about potential issues with back-to-back entries and traveling on a weekend. Comments indicate that border crossings at Mae Sai are generally possible on weekends, and it's mentioned that travelers can do two back-to-back visa exempt entries per year depending on nationality. Additionally, Vientiane for a tourist visa is noted to be closed on weekends.

Depending on your nationality you shouldn't have a problem bouncing out and back in at the Mae Sai - Tachiliek border with burma.

As Leo said you can get TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a year.

You can do a border hop visa exempt twice a year, borders open every day. If you go to Vientiane for a tourist visa they close weekends and holidays.
