I came back by flight to DMK late afternoon Friday 2nd and I need to do my TM30 (I know it’s the landlady’s responsibility but she refuses to do it) and 90 day notification. But are the immigration offices closed because it’s a holiday?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about submitting their TM30 and 90-day notification after returning to DMK airport during a public holiday, questioning if immigration offices are closed. Comments clarify that TM30 needs to be reported within 48 hours of returning, while the 90-day notification resets from the arrival date and is not due until later. It's noted that immigration offices may be closed on holidays, and a user’s landlord is responsible for the TM30.

It's easy enough to set up 90 day reporting and tm30 on line and do both yourself as long as you can get the documents required from your landlord. Have done it twice and it saves having to bother my landlady every time I stay away for a night or two.

I think you have 48 hours for the tm30 to report once out of the country

90 days notification restarts from the day you arrived back in.the county

TM 30 needs to ge done tomorrow when office reopens, should be no fine.

But you need a copy of the owner ID card for sure and I'd report that she refused to do. Have her phone number ready as I've seen immigration call the owner to check detsils

Thank you for the information. I wasn’t aware that the 90-day reporting period restarts after re-entering the country. They didn’t give me an appointment slip this time, so I guess is it my responsibility to set a reminder on my phone for when I need to go to the immigration office?

As for the TM30, it was straightforward last time - they just asked if I was staying at the same address and then updated it.

yes day of arrival is Day 1, you need to count 90 days and set reminder. You can report 2 weeks before or up to 7 days late with no penalty too. Copied from Google Remember, this 90-day report doesn't renew your visa or extend your stay. It's simply a system for tracking your location within Thailand. Every time you exit and re-enter the country, the 90-day count resets. So, if you take a trip abroad and return, your next report will be due 90 days from your re-entry date.

You need to report that. It's the landladies responsibility not yours.

If you just came back your 90 day re sets

Immigration offices closed today, Friday and next Monday too.

You don't need a 90-day report now. You'll need it 90 days after May 2nd., unless you exit the country before that.

Actually 89 days after May 2nd since arrival day counts as day one.

Worry about the 90 day report 90 days after you enter.

TM30 is required though, so you'll either have to get your landlord to do it or get it from somewhere else.

You can go do that yourself though. But you need more documents from your landlord... Which she isn't likely to give you if she doesn't want to do the TM30.

I'd personally probably report her negligence and move out asap.

TM30 not required where I live if you are returning to same address

But it needs to have been filed at some point.

The landlord here refuses to do it, so I assume it's just not been done at all. Ever.

I did it myself by going to the immigration office and giving them the documents they required. And now, every time I leave and re-enter the country I just go to the office and they update it. No need to bring the documents again.

oh, you did give the Impression you were returning to the property... can't help you there then!

You don't need to do a 90-day report until 90 days after you returned to Thailand. Normally, fines are not imposed if there has been a public holiday.

it is due today

@Kai ******
Not if you've just returned to Thailand. It resets to 90 days after you arrived.

Happened to me a few years ago and I got fined. Seems it was my fault there was a public holiday and immigration was closed.

@Marty ********
how much was the fine

I once got fined in Hua Hin for 2000 THB for missing to do a TM30. It is your landlady's responsibility, but you will be the one to pay the fine. When you are on Immigration, call the landlady on her phone, then pass the phone to the Immigration officer and let him tell her - in Thai - about her duties and responsibilities. That's what I did on the Hua Hin Immigration- My landlord visited Immigration together with me on the next day. Yet, it was still me who had to pay the 2000 Baht fine

the fine for not doing the TM30 is 1600฿. I didn’t do it right away once and she only made me pay 800฿. I was about 10 days late filing it. Unfortunately, my landlord won’t do it for me so each time I have to go to immigration myself to file it.

This is for the Bangkok immigration office.

Also, since it was a Friday, along with a weekend and a holiday, I would pretty much say if you’re there on Tuesday to file it they won’t fine you.

@Kai ******
sorry I can’t recall but the fine was for no TM30.
Elías ********
@Kai ******
for not doing the 90-day report it's 2,000 baht
