Looking for advice on which visa would be best for me. I'm returning to Thailand for a TEFL/CELTA training mid November in Bangkok. Is a tourist visa sufficient? I'll also be looking for work afterwards and possibly relocating. I'm a software developer that will be teaching english tech classes hopefully. Any advice?

I'm looking into teaching English in Bangkok possibly next year and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction of where to start. What's better to have under my belt TESL, TESOL or CELTA? Also what visa would be best to apply for? I'm considering doing this for a year. Thanks in advance.

Thank you.

I would appreciate your advice on how best to enter and stay long- term.

I am moving from USA to Bangkok in February.

I am 52 years old and not yet wanting to retire.

I am looking at the difference between the Tourist Visa, cum Work Visa and the retirement/long-term, I think, " O" Visa. I can prove-up the cash needed.

I intend to take approximately 30 days idle for a perfect grill at the dentist.

Then, take another 30 days to complete my CELTA or TEFL, along with necessary days in between.

I am weighing my options.

I am asking for your experience, please.

Hello everyone.

I wonder if you could be so kind as to help me. I have been offered an English teaching job at a language school but apparently I may need to sort out the non b visa myself which is rather daunting. I have both a degree and a masters, but no tefl. I'm told that the rules have changed in recent months so this seems to be presenting a problem and that an online tefl would not be considered acceptable either. What would be my best course of action in getting a visa/work permit sorted out do you think? Perhaps I should be looking at some sort of agency to help me navigate this?

Thank you so much.
