I'm a US citizen looking to get my DTV in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. I wanted help with the best practices/EXACT paperwork and docs needed so i get the least amount of additional requests or needless holdups:

I am a remote worker with an LLC although i'm fine doing soft power (muay thai or language) if that is a similar alternative. Which would be better?

Any advice and guidance would be super appreciated 🙏

Why do some consulates require minimal amount of paperworks? And Why do some consulates require lot of paper work?

Also Some consulate requires just photo copy of each original documenf while some require authenticated photo copies?

Why is this confusion?

If I get an extension letter from the Canadian Embassy via email. Does it have to be printed out for immigration? Or will they accept the email format.

Went to Changwattana IO yesterday to get 3rd yearly extension of my spouse non O visa.. it was brutal.. so much Extra paperwork to sign and provide compared to previous extensions. If this is the new norm, be prepared...

Tomorrow I am going to the immigration office to cancel my extension of stay and then do a visa run that evening. Do I need any extra paperwork other than the letter provided by my school? Are there any fees and I assume it won't take very long?
