Hi all, I am a US National, I arrived in Bangkok on Sep 22nd (from Spain) and they gave me the 30-day visa stamp on my passport upon arrival. I extended my visa at the immigration office in Ko Tao where they gave me another stamp for an extra 30 days, which gives me until Nov 20th. I am now in Koh Phangan and would like to extend my visa and stay longer so I can go up north and stay in Chiang Mai for a bit (ideally until the end of Feb if I can swing it with the visa).

What are my options for extending the visa and what am I looking at cost-wise?

Thank you in advance 🙏

I entered with a 60 day tourist visa (US national). Did an extension in late September just before the amnesty ended. Went back to close the loop in mid October and was given one extra month. The extension now ends on November 30.

I'm going for another extension but I've heard that TM30 is now required? I've always stayed at a friend's (owner's) place and never had to have TM30 done for any extension before so there is no signed agreement or anything.

Is the method here still valid even if the TM30 has never been filed before?

What are my options?

Thank you.
