Hi,

I am married to a Thai citizen and would like to make a one year non-immigrant O type visa. In the Thai consulate in Serbia they say that Thai consulates and embassies do not issue this type of visa for one year validity anymore but only for three months. They also explain that once I have the non-immigrant O type visa three months valid, I can extend it in Thailand.

I asked if the three months non-immigrant visa could be then extended in Thailand based on that visa I have or I had to go out of the country and go through the standard procedure of getting a new one year non-immigrant O but they could not answer.

(I am familiar about the possibilities of having 400 000B on my BA for two months or an income from abroad but tend not to go that way for now)

Would you be so kind as to provide me with your thoughts and knowledge?
