Hello, we are currently in Thailand with a single-entry tourist visa, which we have extended to 90 days. We have to leave the country in December and want to apply for a multiple entry tourist visa. We could even get an invitation letter from a Thai friend if that helps.

Did I understand correctly that we can only apply for these visas where we are physically located after leaving Thailand?

And is there a maximum number of tourist visas that can be granted per year/12 months?

Where is it easier to apply in Vientiane, KL or Penang?
