TLDR : Answer Summary
The proposed 45-day visa exemption for arrivals in Thailand is expected to include land arrivals, but this is not officially confirmed yet. The law has not been published, and its details are still uncertain. Additionally, travelers should be aware that entering via land border visa exempt is limited to two times per calendar year. If you have already entered twice in 2022, you may not be able to enter again via land.

45 days not confirm at Government

It should be any arrival, but we won't know for sure until the law is published. So it's not official yet since it hasn't been published.

Please note that you can only enter via land border visa exempt 2 times per calendar year. So if you have already done so twice in 2022 you won't be able to enter again. Probably not an issue but just wanted to mention it.

one thing immigration looks at for people doing that is how long they stayed in the other country. If they meet the tourist criteria of traveling around for about a week or more, no problem, but if there is a return the same day, or one day later, two is it.

No it's 2 times a calendar year. Regardless how long you did stay in the other country
