Will my online visa application for DTV be approved if I'm from Ukraine and just have a hotel booking in Kuala Lumpur?

I would highly recommend against the KL embassy. The requirements are extremely high and they are very strict.

If they approve your visa has to do with what you submit, not where you're from. Malaysia allows non-residents to apply

As long as you have all the required documentation for the category of DTV you are applying for , then yes they should approve it.
