same here, not once in 20 years have I ever used or been asked for my drivers license. Many Thais don’t even change the plates on their vehicles when they move from province to province, it cost money 😆😆Chizel *******

Exactly, it depends on your own circumstances, you don't know the OP's personal situation. As I said I needed to do it last month as the Australian government requested I update the address on my licence to reflect my current address, so they could then issue my daughter's 1st passport. I now have her passport because I updated the address on my licence as advised.
