TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around whether May 10th is a holiday in Thailand, specifically referencing 'Happy Ploughing Day'. While some commenters affirm it's a holiday, others point out the lack of national holidays listed for that date. The discussions also highlight that schools are closed in Saraburi, indicating a regional observation of the holiday. The interaction touches on practical implications for the poster's plans to change their driving license.

not a waste of time if he needs the address updated to use the licence as an identity document etc. I needed to do exactly that last month.

same here, not once in 20 years have I ever used or been asked for my drivers license. Many Thais don’t even change the plates on their vehicles when they move from province to province, it cost money 😆😆

Exactly, it depends on your own circumstances, you don't know the OP's personal situation.

As I said I needed to do it last month as the Australian government requested I update the address on my licence to reflect my current address, so they could then issue my daughter's 1st passport. I now have her passport because I updated the address on my licence as advised.

No not exactly, the Australian Government asked for my address on my identification to be correct so they could issue my daughter's 1st Australian passport. Nothing about a pension.

It's not a national holiday.

It's a government holiday for government workers

Yes, today is a holiday. I would recommend not going Monday either as they'll probably be backlogged from the closure today.
