Will immigration accept departure tickets on mobile phone, or do they have to be printed.
I am going to request a new departure date from my airline, and ask them to email it to me.
This is due to me flying to Vietnam just before my 90 days is up then returning to get a visa exempt for 45 days.
I want the new departure date to be just before the 45 days to show immigration at Vietnam and Bangkok.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus among the commenters is that immigration in Thailand is unlikely to ask for printed departure tickets, as they often accept mobile versions. While airlines may require proof of return tickets during check-in, it appears that showing tickets on a mobile phone is usually sufficient. Some participants suggest having a printed copy as a backup in case of phone issues, particularly since airline staff may insist on seeing exit tickets before boarding.
Immigration won't ask you, if you're asked it'll be by the airline check-in staff. I've been asked more times than I care to remember, and they have accepted the reservation on my phone. Sometimes the check-in agent will take a photo, other times just the reservation number. Now I'm on retirement visa it's not a requirement, generally it's just on visa exempt entry or tourist visa.
