I have a quick question. I'm traveling from suratani to Chiang Mai via air in a few days. I still have the "under consideration" stamp in my passpoer that they were giving out for a while. I'm covered until 31 July under the amnesty, should this cause me any trouble? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about traveling from Surat Thani to Chiang Mai with an 'under consideration' stamp in their passport due to pending immigration status, which is covered under an amnesty until July 31. The responses advise them to contact the immigration office that issued the stamp for further clarification and to ensure compliance with immigration requirements.

GO to or call the immigration office that issued you the under consideration stamp and see what they tell you.
James ********
The UNDER CONSIDERATION STAMP says you were to RETURN TO THE IMMIGRATION office on a specified date.

Go do it...after which...hopefully... you will be on amnesty until July 31.

I don't know what the reason you have the "under consideration" stamp, but I recommend getting those stamps "closed". Contact the immigration office you got the stamp from and get it approved, or get further instructions from them.

So it was the extension of stay based on COVID-19 (which was replaced by the amnesty)? As the stamp in the passport says, return to immigration and get it completed.

yeah that's the one, but then everyone was saying to just avoid immigration centers to stop the spread of covid, so that's what I did. I've already read that you need to get it completed before exiting the country, but as I am now covered under the amnesty what I am wondering is if anyone has any experience traveling interprovincial with one of these stamps

that stamp is not closed out. Go to immigration and get it closed.

I plan to, I've been on Koh Tao where until pretty recently quarantine procedures upon reentry were very strict, and I did not want to risk spreading the virus by going to that immigration again on Samui. What I am wondering is if anyone has traveled inrerprovincially with their passport like this.

I traveled from Chonburi province to Singburi province this past week. Not asked to see passport other than when registering/checking into hotel in Singburi.

One stop entering Singburi province. Did not ask to see my passport as I stayed seated in our vehicle. Driver was checked temperature and showed Thai ID card .

I think very few people have an "under consideration" stamp that they did not close out yet

Thanks James, I remember reading about the guy who got called back to immigrations so that the officer could scribble it out and write "31 July" in its place so I didn't think it should be anything to really worry about. As a side note:I will be flying.
